About us
About HyreMover
HyreMover is an independent information site for people planning a move. We explain estimates, valuation, carrier checks and cost from federal sources, and we publish 9 free moving tools. We are building a way to connect you with moving companies. We do not move, store or handle anything, and we are not a broker.
Who publishes this. HyreMover is one of the HYRE Network's independent home-service information sites. It is written by the HyreMover research desk, not by a moving company, a carrier or a broker.
No moving company pays to appear here, and none is ranked or rated. The guides and tools are free and ask for nothing.
What is HyreMover for?
HyreMover helps you understand the decisions inside a move before you sign anything. Which estimate type to ask for. What valuation actually pays. How to check a mover's USDOT number. What moves the price.
When you are ready to talk to someone, we want to connect you with moving companies that serve your route. That part is still being built. The guides and tools are open to everyone now.
What does HyreMover do?
- Explains the job. What each kind of move involves and what a complete estimate contains. Start with the eight moving services.
- Explains the rules. Estimate types, the in-home survey and the 110 percent rule, sourced to the regulation. See how moving estimates work.
- Offers free tools. 9 moving calculators and planners that work on your own numbers. No email needed.
- Helps you hire well. Ten things to check before you sign, and the fraud patterns to spot.
What does HyreMover not do?
- No moving. We do not move, pack, store or handle belongings. We are not a carrier.
- No brokering. We do not arrange carriage the way a household goods broker does.
- No insurance. We do not sell moving insurance or valuation coverage.
- No ratings. We rate no movers and publish no reviews beyond what federal and state records support.
How is HyreMover paid?
We expect to earn money by introducing people to moving companies. You are never charged. Where that relationship applies, the page says so.
The risk, stated plainly. A site paid for introductions could start telling everyone to hire a full crew. The test is whether it ever says something that costs it business. Ours does.
We tell people that hiring labor only is sometimes the right answer. We say the binding not-to-exceed estimate is the one to ask for by name. And we explain that released value pays 60 cents per pound per article, not what an item was worth. See moving valuation and insurance.
What standard does the content meet?
- Primary sources first. Regulatory and consumer-protection claims cite FMCSA and the Code of Federal Regulations, with the reference on the page.
- Dated, not evergreen. Anything time-sensitive carries the date we checked it. Rules are amended and registrations lapse.
- Gaps stay visible. Unverified stays labeled unverified. In a trade with documented fraud, a confident guess is worse than an admitted gap.
- No paid placement. A company cannot pay to change what we say about estimates, valuation or brokers.
The full rules are in our editorial policy. How we vet moving companies explains what any check can and cannot prove.

How do I reach HyreMover?
Email us with questions, corrections or anything you think we got wrong. Corrections are the fastest way to improve a page.
6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States. This is a mailing address for a national information site, not a moving depot. No truck is dispatched from it.
The contact page lists every way to reach us, and the moving FAQ answers common questions. If you run a moving business, the page for moving companies explains how inquiries will reach a company.
Is HyreMover part of a network?
Yes. hyremover.com is one of a group of independent home-service information sites published under the HYRE name, each covering one trade. They share editorial standards, a privacy policy and a technical platform. None of them performs the work it writes about.
