  • Only homeowners who asked. Every inquiry will come from a homeowner who agreed to be contacted.

Where this stands. Matching with moving companies is still being built, and no company is signed up yet. Everything below describes how inquiries will reach you once it opens, and the terms that are not decided say so.

What is in this section?

Three pages for moving businesses. Start with how leads work, or go straight to the application.

How does a homeowner become your customer?

Through research they chose to do. We do not buy traffic and resell it. Inquiries will come from guides and tools homeowners actually use, so they arrive informed, not defensive.

  1. A homeowner arrives with a deadline, not a shortlist.

A job offer in another state. A lease ending on the 31st. A closing date that moved. They search the situation, not your company name.

A service library covering all eight moving services

  2. They work out what they are dealing with.

That crossing a state line changes the regulator and the pricing basis. That an estimate has three types and the type must be on the document. That released value pays by weight.

9 free moving tools, no email needed

  3. They decide they need a professional.

By now they know to ask for a survey, to name the estimate type, and to raise valuation before you do. They are ready to talk about the move.

Every guide explains how to hire well

  4. They describe the move and agree to be contacted.

Both zip codes, the service, the timing, the size of the home and their own words about access at each end. Nothing moves without their clear agreement.

Consent comes before anything is sent

  5. It reaches you.

Once matching opens on your routes, the inquiry is matched to the areas and services you told us you cover. You call them, quote the move and contract directly. We are not in that conversation.

    You own the customer relationship

Why are these inquiries different?

Because of what the homeowner read before filling in the form. See how we explain moving estimates and the fraud patterns we warn about.

  • They already know the words. Interstate versus intrastate. Binding, non-binding and binding not-to-exceed. Released value versus full value protection. Carrier versus broker. You spend the call scoping the move, not teaching the basics.
  • They are not price-shopping blind. We publish no average moving cost, because it sets a false anchor. We publish the things that decide what a move costs.
  • They expect a written, itemized estimate. Because we tell them to ask for one, with the estimate type named, the inventory attached, and packing shown as labor and materials separately. That favors companies that already work that way.
  • They know the tactics to avoid. Whole-house quotes with no survey. Large cash deposits up front. A registration that does not match the company name. Homeowners arrive ready to turn those down.
  • They chose their own timing. No cold call and no lead reseller. They filled in a form because they decided to.

What do we ask of moving companies?

The same things we tell homeowners to check. We publish a ten-point checklist for choosing a moving company, so it would make no sense to send homeowners to companies that fail it.

  • A real business. Registered, with an operating history we can check.
  • Federal registration for interstate work. A USDOT number that matches your legal name and address, with household goods authority.
  • State licensing where required. Where your state licenses moves inside the state. Many do not, and saying so is a complete answer.
  • Insurance. General liability cover, and workers' compensation where you employ crews.
  • Prompt replies. You contact the inquiries you accept, promptly. A homeowner who is never called is one we have failed.
  • Written, itemized estimates. The estimate type named, the inventory attached, access assumptions stated, and packing shown as labor and materials separately.
  • A survey before a whole-house number. In person or by video. We tell every homeowner to expect one.
  • Straight answers on carrier and deposits. Say whether you are the carrier or brokering the job, and take no large cash deposit up front. We publish both as warning signs.

Read how we vet moving companies, and our lead quality standard for what makes an inquiry valid before it is ever sent.

What is not decided yet?

Pricing, exclusivity, delivery speed, credits and contract terms. HyreMover is early. We would rather leave these open than publish terms that change in three months.

Pricing model and price Not decided
Per inquiry, subscription or something else, and at what price.
Exclusive or shared Not decided
Whether an inquiry goes to one company or several.
Delivery speed Not decided
How quickly an accepted inquiry reaches you.
Invalid inquiries Not decided
What earns a credit, and how a dispute is raised.
Contract terms Not decided
Any minimum commitment, and how to pause or leave.

The moving partner FAQ answers these one by one, and how moving leads work covers matching in detail. Registering now records your interest and your service area. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed.

What do moving companies ask us?

What is HyreMover?

An independent moving information site that is building a way to connect homeowners with moving companies. We are not a carrier and not a broker: we move nothing, store nothing and arrange no carriage. Homeowners read our guides, and the ones who are ready ask to be contacted.

What does an inquiry cost?

Not decided yet. We would rather leave it open than publish a price that changes in three months. Pricing, exclusivity, delivery speed, credits and contract length are all open. Registering your interest is free and commits you to nothing.

Do you take a percentage of the job?

No. We are not a party to your contract with the homeowner and we take no cut of the work. Whatever the pricing model turns out to be, it will be for the introduction, not for the move.

What do you ask of participating companies?

The same things we tell homeowners to check. A USDOT number matching your legal name and address, with household goods authority, for interstate work. State licensing where required. Liability cover, prompt replies, written itemized estimates with the type named, a survey first, and a clear answer on carrier or broker.

Why are those the requirements?

Because we publish a ten-point checklist telling homeowners how to vet a moving company. Sending them to companies that fail it would make no sense. The bar is our own homeowner advice, applied consistently.

When does matching go live?

Not decided yet, and it is the question we are asked most. Matching with moving companies is still being built. We would rather say that than suggest a network we do not have. Companies on the interest list hear before this page changes.
